In our lives we are faced with many delays. A delayed appointment after arriving ten minutes early. A delayed birth after ten months of developing. A delayed airplane departure. A delayed check. A delayed prayer. We have all experience delay in some form. We still experience delay today.
What happens when we are delayed? Most times we get bent out of shape, and throw tantrums. Probably complain and fuss. Uhm, what is the message behind delay? Delay teaches me to be patient and wait. Our delays are test of our faith itself. Our faith builds its strength through our prayers and by waiting patiently for God to answer.
God must look at the true heart of the requestor. What does your heart look like? Don’t worry God is on time and trustworthy. Just remember to wait on the Lord!
Lord, I know I will have to be patient and wait in my times of being anxious. My waiting allows me to trust you and depend on you alone. So Jesus, I will wait. My delays are my blessings. Amen.
Hebrews 11:6 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
God uses delays to strengthen our character. James 1:3-4 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. When your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character, ready for battle of the unknown.
So the next time you are delayed remember to be patient and calm because God is in control. JUST WAIT… with a cheerful heart ♥ you are on God’s time, the giver of life and death.
