The Unforgotten Christmas

The cat watched curiously out the door window, as Jonah paced back, and forth pulling his hair. Jonah came back in a hurry.

He began to decorate the kitchen with what- knots of Christmas, and scatter them about in such an organized clutter. Jonah kissed the napping cat.

Jonah stared at the gift, and contemplating suicide note, he had written for his mom the night before.  She never spent Christmas with him.  Jonah finished a bowl of trail mix. Tears drenched his feet.

The chair fell causing a loud bang.

Jonah was swinging back and forth, as the cat watched.
