Why do we get loud for the rock stars, and celebrities? How can we praise them more than God, Himself who created these well-known individuals? As I ponder on how that must look, and feel to our Creator. Think about the amount of money spent on a ticket, just for a front row seat. Estimated $1500, or so. Yet, there are starving, homeless, unloved children right in front of us. What do you bring to the kingdom of God, other than your problems? Do you bring Him praises?
The concerts are loud, and full of praise to the rock star. Wow! Imagine just for once how God views this….I mean He gave His life, and we think we should bow down in whispers, give silence as if we are at His funeral. God is alive…..did you forget He rose from the dead on the third day? Yes there is a time to be quiet before Him, that’s so you can hear His voice, but then we should be writing songs for Him, and celebrating Him with our highest praise. Get loud for Jesus. Dance for Jesus! He loves to hear us praise His name. Leap for joy. Shout with thanksgiving.
The next time you get excited for a celebrity, author, famous basketball player, compare it to your praise for God…. Then look up to the Heavens and ask forgiveness for putting God at the bottom. Begin to jump, sing, and dance for Him.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Blessings to you in Jesus Name.
