We should never seek to hurt another just because they have hurt us or a love one. Sometimes the pain will seem unbearable, but seeking revenge makes you worse than the person who caused the wound to begin with. Let us not let our flesh control us. Allow God to be the remote control in our lives. Yes, it will appear that un justice was served to you, and it may even hurt. But God sits above and sees all things. I will take revenge; I will pay them back. In due time their feet will slip. Their day of disaster will arrive, and their destiny will overtake them. Deuteronomy 32:35
We as Christians are to not usurp the authority of God. We must allow God to judge and revenge as He sees fit. In His own perfect timing. When God punishes it’s based on those who have rejected His word and offended Him with their impure motives, and lies. Those oppressed with evil will be dealt with by the only true God in His perfect timing. Even when the innocent suffer. Have you felt unjustly treated, or robbed by another? Did you feel weak and helpless because you let it be? Were you ridiculed after being mistreated, or worst blamed for another’s actions?
They made it all about you. It was their mistake or mishap to begin with, but you took the fall instead. God knew what would happen from beginning to end. He test us to see where our heart is. Will we do the right thing. Will we uphold His word, or give in to our flesh.
Perhaps another played a cruel game of love just mock you or belittle you. It’s okay. God will give you comfort and peace if you just trust Him. Allow Him to steer the wheel of hurt, betrayal, and un-justice on your behalf. It belongs to Him. don’t respond out of bitterness or attack back because I put my hope and trust in Him. Others may laugh or even call you weak. So be it. I’d rather be weak in self and allow God to be my strength.
Yes, it may hurt and you may shed some tears as I did. But the comfort Jesus brings is sufficient and so worth it. God will make your enemies your footstool in due season! As Christians, we are to follow the Lord Jesus’ command to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” Matthew 5:44, leaving the vengeance to God.

When we allow forgiveness to enter then we give God full control of handling it. Don’t waste your time on relational battles and drain your strength trying to prove your point or win. God is our defense. If we will not give in to temptation to handle things on our own. God will give us His perfect peace in the midst of our storms. We are called to live life above the blame and bitterness. What God has for you cannot be diminished by another or taken away by them. So gain souls for the kingdom of God and leave revenge to Him. Sometimes the hurt will seem overwhelming, but when you know you done nothing wrong then you can be at rest to allow God to handle it, in His perfect timing.
Yes, many will ridicule or bash you but stand on the love and hope in a God who delivers. Be blessed and know God is in control.
